Baking Soda and Vinegar Soak for Nail Fungus

It is not a pleasing business to deal with nail fungus whether it affects your fingernails or toenails. It is officially known as onychomycosis. Most often this starts when moisture is trapped within a warm and dark place, primarily because of the shoes. That is why this condition is more prevalent on toenails than fingernails. Fungus thrives in a dark and damp place. Sometimes this condition may be caused by yeast or mold.

7What does the infected nail look like?

In general, the nail fungus will start as a yellow or white spot on the tip of the nail. As it starts to develop, the nail may become thick and brittle. It may also become crumbly and ragged. The nail may change in shape, be darker in color, or become dull. This condition wherein the nail starts to separate from the nail bed is called onycholysis. This is quite uncomfortable. Without proper treatment, toenail fungus can become severe. Even with treatment, the infection can occur on or off.
