Arrow Root: The Antifungal and Antibacterial Tuber


A nail fungal infection is a common condition. It comprises 50 percent of all nail disorders. This occurs when a fungus attacks the nails on your fingers or toes and also the nail bed. Toenails are more frequently affected by fungus than fingernails. This is because the environment inside your shoes is conducive to fungal growth. Signs and Symptoms

How Do You Incur Nail Infection?

A person is more likely to get infected with nail fungus if he or she doesn’t keep his or her feet clean and dry, walks around barefoot in public places where a fungal spread is more possible, has diabetes or a weakened immune system, has damaged nails, has other conditions like diabetes or psoriasis. Nail fungus can easily spread from one person to another.


It is important for you to practice good hygiene when it comes to your feet. This will prevent the spread of the infection. If you are experiencing pain and discomfort, you must consult a doctor for your nail fungus treatment.

Your doctor will probably recommend or prescribe the following: antifungal tablets that must be taken once or twice daily for a couple of months, antifungal nail lacquer that is applied to the nail for months, or a nail softening kit to soften the infected parts of the nail making it easier to scrape with a device.

For severe cases, a nail removal procedure may also be advised.
